We thought that you might know about Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, a twelve-step program based on the model pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous has a history of supporting lasting freedom from self-destructive sexual and emotional patterns. Attendance at meetings of Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous can contribute to the effectiveness of treatment for some of your patients. Regular attendance at Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous meetings has provided men and women relief from a variety of addictive cycles, including obsessive attraction to one or more people, compulsive sex, co-dependency, extramarital activity, obsessive fantasy, internet addictions and other compulsive behaviors.
Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous cannot formally endorse professional services because of its Sixth Tradition, however members frequently voice their appreciation for professional services, helping to deepen the commitment of individuals to their therapeutic process. Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous is not affiliated with any other organization either medical or religious.
So that you have information on hand to provide to patients that you think might benefit from attendance at a meeting, we have enclosed a meeting schedule for South Florida and basic informational pamphlets to pass out. Also enclosed is a standard pamphlet addressing items of specific interest to professionals.
